Prices, Licences and Subscription Packages for Report K*

Report K* is a series of specialised analytical publications issued by the Sir Roger Penrose Institute for Interdisciplinary Sciences, devoted to the long-term consequences of technological development, systemic change, civilisational processes and phenomena of high strategic importance.

The price of publications in the Report K* series is not determined by the number of pages or by the publication format. Each volume is an independent expert analysis whose value results from the scope of the study, the originality of the methodology, the significance of the problem, its prognostic value, the level of specialisation and the possible use of the report in scientific, expert, institutional, media or strategic work.

The prices of individual volumes may vary depending on the nature of the publication. The values below are reference prices used to determine the prices of packages, subscriptions and licences.

Reference Prices of Individual Volumes

Publication categoryReference price for an individual licence
Regular volume of the Report K* seriesfrom PLN 3,000
Special volume of the Report K* seriesfrom PLN 2,400
Regular volume of high strategic, technological or methodological valuefrom PLN 4,500
Special volume of high decision-making or strategic urgencyfrom PLN 3,600
Extended monograph / breakthrough volumefrom PLN 7,500
Dedicated report or analysis prepared on requestindividual quotation

The prices of individual volumes are determined separately each time. A regular volume does not mean a publication of lower value than a special volume. In the Report K* series, a regular volume may cover a broader analytical scope, a larger number of modules and a more developed prognostic structure than a special volume.

A special volume is a publication focused on one specific problem, event, systemic threshold or situation requiring separate analysis. Its price depends on the importance of the topic, the urgency of the issue and the scope of the study.

Publication Format

FormatPricing rule
PDFThe price refers to the content and the scope of the licence, not to the file itself.
Printed editionThe price may be equal to the PDF price if the licence scope is the same.
PDF + printed editionThe package may be priced higher due to the availability of two forms of use.
Foreign-language editionsSold separately, unless the package description states otherwise.

The format of the publication does not reduce the value of the report. PDF, printed edition and foreign-language edition contain the same analytical value; therefore, the basis of the price is the content, the scope of the licence and the manner of use of the publication.

Subscription Periods

Report K* is published cyclically. The basic point of reference for subscription packages is a regular volume published every two months.

For this reason, the Institute applies three basic subscription periods:

Subscription periodDurationNumber of regular volumes
Tertial subscription4 months2 regular volumes
Half-year subscription6 months3 regular volumes
Annual subscription12 months6 regular volumes

The Institute does not use a classic quarterly subscription, because the publication rhythm of regular volumes is bimonthly. The four-month period, referred to as a tertial subscription, corresponds to the natural cycle of two regular volumes and allows new recipients to assess the nature of the series without purchasing a full annual subscription.

Individual Subscriptions

An individual subscription is intended for one natural person. It does not include the right to make publications available to other persons, teams, institutions, editorial offices or organisations.

Multi-user access requires a team, departmental, library, academic or corporate licence.
